Freedom is the essence of life. Anyone who is allowed to live freely is a happy man thus making it the most important element of a happy life. So what exactly makes one feel free? Is it the will to do something the way one wishes to or is all about working in the right place?

Workplace and the Sense of Having  Freedom?

What is work? Is it all about doing things that others expect us to do? Or is it about doing the right things at the right time? Well to tell the truth it is a mix of both. One cannot always do what one likes. While at work, there are situations when one has to do what one is not accustomed to. This is how the pattern of work sets in. So while at work, one is bound to feel the “work slavery” syndrome. There are two options this person has. Either live it and grin it or leave it. Invariably people prefer work slavery to having consistent leverage.

Why is “Freedom Important

Much as staying free is important; one has to know what it means at work. When one learns to love what is being done, the jobs seem much easier.
Feeling free is all about how one is able to tackle challenges in everyday life. A person feels enslaved to a job only when he or she is not able to get hold of the work in question.

Work, Employment and the Sense of Freedom

Work is a huge circle which comprises the inner circles of wage, payment, dedication and output. The entire circle is divided hypothetically into two halves. Those who wish to be free inclined and those who are work inclined. Those who wish to live life on their terms are those inclined towards being free and those who focus on the work are the work inclined. Now how these two halves change as per the whims and fancies of the people.

The Invisible Chains

Thus, it is seen that it is up to us to determine whether work is slavery or work is freedom. All of us are bound by invisible chains. At times, these chains are not visible. Living free is not about letting it affect the work style. Living free is about exchanging fair ideas, enriching the world around with free thought, providing the world with a free platform to express views and to make life a free learning journey. On the work front it is better to be enslaved to responsibility, dedication and expectation as in the bigger picture this is what matters, and this is what sets us free.

How to Attain Freedom at Work

So we have come to the crux of the matter, and that is getting relaxed at the place of work. Around 50% of the things we do involve activities that we enjoy and the rest are all duty bound. Work gives us the much-needed perks that make life a better place to be in. Liberation at work helps us to grow and make our way towards our ultimate realization – that world is a stage. To have this attitude one must have a base that is created only through free expression.

How Best it is Not to Quit?

It is easy to quit at any point of time, but this only increases the risk of staying unhappy always. So it is not slavery that we need but the freedom at work which paves the path for a perfect relation.

How to Eat Healthy

You don’t have to make drastic changes in your diet to eat better. Unless, of course, you eat at McDonald’s at every meal. Most of us can significantly improve our health when we make small changes. Here are ways you can eat healthier without sacrificing the joys of eating sumptuous dishes.

Eat Lean Meat

Meat provides us with high quality protein and essential minerals. Bacon and ham aren’t the only delicious options. Stick with lean meats to get more protein and less harmful animal fats. It’s easy to shop for lean options, whether you’re shopping for beef, poultry, or seafood. Other excellent protein choices are eggs, dry beans, seeds and nuts.

Look for labels that say “90% lean”, or anything above that number. Turkey is a fantastic choice. After removing fatty meat from your diet, hundreds of calories are shaved off each time.

Learn to Appreciate Water

Sugar is highly addicting, a lot more addicting than most people realize. Like all addictions, weaning yourself off sugar is effective. There are massive amounts of sugar in sodas and commercial juice drinks.

If you drink soda or juice drink at every meal, you can cut down slowly by sticking to one sugary drink a day, up until you’ve totally eliminated these unhealthy options. Bear in mind that one can of regular soda has nine teaspoons of sugar! Grape and orange sodas are the worst culprits, having over 50 percent more sugar than regular fizzy drinks.

Learn to appreciate water. It has zero calories and is something your body can’t live without. As you wean off sweet drinks, the cravings will subside, and your body will thank you for it.

Here are other tips to help you eat better. Following these will have a huge positive impact on your health:

Choose nonfat or 1% milk over 2% or whole milk.
Snack on breads or cereals that are made with whole grains. These have the least fats compared to other kinds.
You’re only human. Sometimes you’ll slip and eat a high-calorie meal. Balance the situation by choosing a low-calorie meal at your next meal.
Make it a habit to check food labels. Check the fat, sodium, sugar, calorie and cholesterol content.

Eating healthy doesn’t mean eating bland. You can enjoy spices like pepper, rosemary, nutmeg, cinnamon, thyme, basil, and many more. By watching the sugar, fats, sodium and cholesterol consumed, you’ll have a healthier body that will reward you over decades. You only have one body, treat it well.
